David Colter

David has more than 25 years of experience as a technology executive across a range of roles. Upon returning to Nova Scotia in 2017, David has been working as CEO of Immersive Cinema, teaching Intro to Virtual Reality (VR)/Augmented Reality (AR) as an Adjunct Professor at St Mary’s University, and driving a new venture, XRai, in partnership with Tim Wilson, assisting companies to leverage new technologies.

David has been awarded multiple patents for interactive video solutions and new user interface development, and he has published and presented several articles for the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), the National Cable Television Association (NCTA), and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB); and is also a member of SMPTE, SCTE and the Television Academy. He holds a BSc from Dalhousie University and an MSc degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Toronto specializing in Combinatorics and Graph Theory.
